Watch out for garage sales

Okay, anyboby who knows me just a little bit knows that I like to go to garage sales. Well, you think I would learn my lesson and realize that I am just a sucker. Earlier this summer I was innocently driving back home from the bank and saw the standard bright orange garage sale signs. I managed to talk myself into stopping cause who knows, I might find a good deal. Right.

Anyways, there was a guy walking around holding this sweet innocent looking puppy and I was in love. The guy put the pup down and left so then I started asking questions. Guess what! The pup had a sister and they were free! You know, I have two kids who each need their own pup to grow up with. I am such a cool mom! Needless to say, we already have a 15 year old dog and a Jack Russell (who acts like an old man) and two cats. So we are now the proud owners of Sassy & Blue. They are the most tender hearted and the most goofy pups around. They play consantly. They remind me of a couple of sumo wrestlers.

One night Rick and I were walking back to the house, Sassy and Blue were doing their famous wrestling and running at the same time moves and then they hit a tree. I wouldn't have laughed so hard if there wasn't a little yelp and the whole tree shook. It was great! It would be nice if I could be just half as care free.

BTW...The cat HATES me.

God gave the flowers a drink

Today we finally got some much needed rain. It has cooled things down. I was able to go out a get some shots while the boys were asleep. It was really relaxing.

BTW...Thank you for your prayers. Richard has finished his surgery and is at home waiting for the meds to wear off I am sure. For those of you that didn't know, he had his shoulder worked on. Torn rotator cup (sp?). Well, I am going to call it an early night. Talk to you later and thanks for the comments!

Please don't eat the chalk.

Today is suppose to be another scorcher. I got the kids out for a little bit this morning before it got too hot. Gram picked up a chalkboard for the boys earlier this summer and it is a hit. I have it outside right now and for some reason they fight over it every time. Aarons art work was a picture of me (can't you tell) and he told me that he needed to give me a mouth. While he was telling me that, Aiden came by and put a mouth on it. Aaron looked back at his drawing and said, "oh, you already have a mouth." and went on with his work. Hehehe I was impressed with Aiden cause this was actually the only few seconds he was not trying to eat the chalk. What a battle. So tell me, he eats everything but veggies?!?!? Why is that?

One more kid story, earlier this morning Aaron was upset that he had to watch Blues Clues cause that is what Aiden really likes. Aaron threw himself on the floor and proceeded to throw a fit. I told him to go lay in his bed until he got rid of his attitude.

A few minutes later he yells down the stairs, "Mommy! I changed my whiney butt!" LOL. I had to let him back downstairs after that.

Before the sun turned everything brown...

I took these pictures in July when the boys could still dig in the flower bed. Now it is hard as a rock. The nature pics were taken one morning shortly after Rick left for work and the kids were still asleep. The fog was really pretty and everything was covered in dew. I loved it! These were all taken at the house as well. The one with the kids and the hibiscus is in my back yard. The one with the trees was on the front and side.
Some people have seen the pics already from my space but this is for the ones who don't go to my space. BTW...I will be closing out that account soon and just updating here. Talk to everyone later!

Hello!

Well, I have decided to start blogging here to help keep loved ones informed of what is going on in our life and to let me run my mouth so to speak instead of making Rick listen to me ramble.

First things first, Aiden was such a sweety yesterday and plucked almost all the keys off of our laptop. We were able to get the keys back on, BUT...the B key doesn't work very well so if you notice some funny words, it is because I was not pressing down hard enough onto the keys. LOL. Everyone is doing fine here and the weather has cool down a bit. I was able to get out yesterday and take some pics. The pics of the boys walking down the path is our driveway. Aaron was checking the mail and Aiden went with him. I don't know who all has been told, but we bought our first house last March and we love it here. We live on a little over 4 acres so the boys can run, run and run. I will get some pics of the house on here soon. Well, that is all for now, please check back regularly because I will try to keep this up. Love you all!
